Coming to cinemas May 2007

DreamWorks has decided to activate the teaser site for the second sequel in their mega-franchise, SHREK THE THIRD. This time around, the story centers on the hilarity that ensues when Fiona's father, the king of Far Far Away, falls unexpectedly ill, leaving Shrek as the sole heir to the throne. With Shrek's refusal to assume the throne, he, Fiona, Donkey and Puss-in-Boots set out to convince Fiona's cousin, a young prince named Arthur (as in of Camelot) to take the crown; all while the dastardly Prince Charming amasses an army to forcefully take the kingdom from Fiona and Shrek. Before and through all this craziness, however, they get caught up in all kinds of hilarity involving a whole new set of fairy tale characters. So far, the site doesn't have anything beyond a picture of a sprawling vista of Far Far Away but it's sure to be spruced up as the May 18th, 2007 release date approaches.
